This enables the teeth to be straightened without wearing braces. A clear plastic tray that snaps over your teeth is used instead. These clear plastic trays have minor contortions built into them, that move your teeth approximately _mm each time a new tray is put in. There are usually 12 to 24 trays required to straighten teeth that are quite crooked. A new tray is put in approximately every 2 weeks. Cost of this treatment is in the vicinity of $6,000 dollars for 1 jaw, and $10,000 for upper and lower jaws. Quite often if the crooked teeth are located only in one area, we can straighten those teeth without having to treat the other jaw.

Invisalign treatment is the next generation of orthodontic appliance. As a general overview it consists of a sequence of clear plastic aligners 0.3mm thick that fit over the tooth surface without impeding on your soft tissues.

Each aligner is changed for a new fresh aligner every 2 weeks. Each aligner is in a slightly different position to the last encouraging movement of the teeth in a strategic manner to achieve the perfect cosmetic result.
